We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated scientist with in-depth knowledge and hands on experience of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, clinical pharmacology and PK/PD. The successful candidate will assist with the development of mechanistic pharmacokinetic models concerning safety and efficacy of small and large molecules. Identifying and applying applications of modelling and simulation in the clinical pharmacology arena is an essential part of the role.
The candidate is expected to mentor and support junior colleagues, keep abreast of the latest scientific developments and actively engage with peers and clients within industry, academia and regulatory agencies. The candidate will also provide on-going customer support and education/training related to the use of the Simcyp Simulator and act as tutor at workshops. Prior experience of working in drug discovery/development to simulate efficacy and safety of drugs and drug candidates would be an advantage. The post does not include routine laboratory or clinical work.
We offer a unique and exciting mix of academic and commercial environments and encourage regular attendance at scientific meetings as part of our continuous education programs.
Simcyp is part of Certara, a company which combines sophisticated research and development informatics with the power of predictive science methodologies to span the drug development spectrum and offer pharma a previously unavailable ‘end-to-end’ solution in the quest for improving human health.
