Just to confirm Phoenix 8.0 was indeed approved for distribution as of 03 October 2017. It was approved for release on 28 September 2017 and is now available to download from the Support downloads page.

Phoenix 8.0 includes: Phoenix WinNonlin 8.0, Phoenix NLME 8.0, Phoenix Connect 8.0, IVIVC Toolkit 8.0 for Phoenix WinNonlin, AutoPilot Toolkit 8.0 for Phoenix, JMS for Phoenix 8.0, CDISC Navigator 8.0 and Validation Suite 8.0.

Your existing license will work for this version too and there is now no need to install a separate licensing wizard.

We will demonstrate the new Phoenix 8.0 features during a one-hour webinar beginning at 11 a.m. EDT on 1st November and you can register for the webinar at https://www.certara.com/webinars/how-can-you-get-the-most-out-of-phoenix-8-0.

We try to inform our users as soon as any potentially important issues are discoverd, to this end Product Notification 36 has been posted on the Support Download page (look under View Details).

It notes an issue regarding expected failures for Phoenix models when running on a 32 bit machine for Validation Suite 8.0.

Additionally there is an issue noted regarding a VPC defect when a stratified covariate is time-varying (QC 16209) as well as some other issues with VPC and other functions.  I recommend you review this at your earliest opportunity so you are aware of any potential problems with your analyses.

I imagine most of those on the forum will have received the email last week announcing the proposed release of Phoenix 8.1 in June 2018 with new features that automate and simplify processes to save you time.  For those who haven't I paste the planned key improvements.

Ready When You Are
One software that adapts to all your analyses needs, from basic NCA analysis to more demanding projects, Phoenix 8.1 offers the flexibility to use the features you need when you need them.
  • New NCA Ratios Plugin delivers one-step calculation of renal clearance, accumulation ratio, linearity index, parent to metabolite exposure ratios and more
  • Descriptive Statistics include additional automated statistical calculations for geometric SD, user-specified percentiles, and an option to select statistics for outputs
  • More Charting Capabilities allow chart controls by sort or group variable, order profiles in legend, error bars for bar/column plots, offset for any overlaid plot, and more
  • Enhanced WinNonlin Validation Suite provides full software validation in under 30 minutes with locked PDF reports containing links to results and updated validation template documents aligned with latest regulatory guidance
  • Improved Visual Predictive Check in Phoenix NLME offers separate analyses for different types of data such as continuous data with BQLs, categorical data, and time to event data

Stay tuned for more information on Phoenix 8.1. Can’t wait to learn more about the new features in Phoenix 8.1? Contact your Account Manager and we'll try to help you better understand these new features.
