Hello Everyone,

I am using Phoenix NLME. Is it possible to batch runs?

Best,

Joao

Hi Joao,
not sure what do you mean by batch runs.
if you want to say run several models in your workflow you can do so by clicking on the run workflow buttion. It will sequentially run the objects you have added/need to be rerun to become current one by one.
If you mean running in scripting language that is also possible by using command line ( we have a chapter on this in the manual and there is the pnxnlme R package that help with this)

Hello Samer,

Thanks for the reply. I want to bacth several model runs. That is exactly what I did. Here an example as a picture. I want to run those two modesl, which are slightly different from one another and then compare them. Then I get an error. That happens all the time.

Maybe you know why this happens?

I know about that R package. I just wanted to run everything under the Phoenix environment.

Best,

Joao

Hi Joao, did you use 'Execute Remotely' button, or just 'execute'?

Will either/both of the individual model run, if not please let us know whether you are using the MPI option?

 Simon.

Hi Simon,

I am not using remote excute, just the excute option. Both models will run individually and I am not using the MPI option.

Best,

Joao

Hi Joao,

I work for Certara to develop the plugin for FIM dose prediction using NLME. Please contact me at tinh.nguyen@certara.com for a quick demo.

Hi Tinh,

What is the plugin for FIM? How will this help me with my problem of batch runs?

Maybe I was not very clear. What I want to do is to submit several jobs one after the other, and come back later to see the results.

At the moment I can just send one NLME model to execute, and then the program is blocked. I have to wait until the current model was executed before I can submit a new job. This is not very efficient. When I try to do this with an workflow, then I get the error above.

Best,

Joao

Hi Joao, Tinh's suggestion is a project we ahve delivered for other users who wanted to batch up multiple runs to screen compounds etc.  Or alternatively a grid submission would be quicker; (and this will be faster and simpler to configure in the Summer's PHX 7.0 release).

However in the present time, what you are trying to do should work from native, off the shelf Phoenix, and does so on my machine so I'm going to ask you to email the project exhibiting this issue to support@certara.com so we can investigate what is happening.

Once we have fixed this problem via suppott then you can perhaps see what else we can do ;0)

  Simon.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the reply. I cannot send you the project, as it contains confidential data. I will try to generate some random data and see if I can replicate the issue before sending you the project.

In parallel I will see if I can get in touch with Tinh.

Joao
