Please note that in NLME when changing engines and selecting LaPlacian the default option is FOCE Hess box checked. If you run it without unselecting the Hess box you will get the same results as FOCE ELS.

Note that using the Laplacian method with FOCE Hess checked is the
Same as using FOCE ELS.


So when Laplacian is properly set up, it is sensitive to changes in AGQ levels and is different than the ELS FOCE method.

So if you really want Laplacian, you need to select the Laplacian method AND uncheck this box.

However, if you really need Laplacian, as in a user specified log likelihood model,
You will get Laplacian regardless of what box you check.
