When we attempt to export the Final Parameter estimates from NCA into a stacked layout (ie, non-pivoted layout), and if we choose SAS TRANSPORT format, we always face the task of modifying the name of "Parameter" to a shorter name, in order to comply with the rule of <= 8 characters.  Could this be automatically handled by WinNonlin such that once XPT is chosen, the column name of "Parameter" will be truncated or converted to something like "Param"?

We understand there are alternative file formats such as Excel where you do not have this issue, but SAS XPT is the preferred file format feeding into the subsequent SDTM.PP data programming and we felt such an auto-conversion/truncation is straightforward and self-intuitive.

Absolutely if you use load or save settings then you will either create or load a file formthe documents folder containing your renaming choices.
