Hi all,

I'm starting to use WINNONLIN and I'm experiencing some problems when I try to run NCA analysis. So I have to questions:

1) In data with decimal places the separator should be a point or a comma? When I try to import data with the separator as a point, the program didn't work.

2) When I try to run a NCA analysis this error occurs ERROR 14062: Duplicate time values on data file. Use Descriptive Statistics to compute mean data and perform NCA on the means, or select Sparse Sampling in NCA. Why this occurs?

3) For slopes if I use Best Fit to  LAMBDA Z CALCULATION when I run the NCA analysis my Final parameters pivot table appears with no values in each column.

Thanks for your support,

Best regards,

Mariana

Hi Mariana,

1) Absolutely your data should with decimal places defined by point as the separator.  I would recommend actually that you change your regional settings to use decimal point and restart Phoenix to ensure this is consistent, see pages 8&9 of the Getting Started guide (within menu, Help>Documents)

2) When I try to run a NCA analysis this error occurs ERROR 14062: Duplicate time values on data file. Use Descriptive Statistics to compute mean data and perform NCA on the means, or select Sparse Sampling in NCA. Why this occurs?

>most likely you have mapped insufficient variables to 'SORT' to uniquely identify your PK profile, e.g. in a crossover study  you would need Subject AND Period.  If you still ahve problems you can add an example project, and we chould help with mappings but look also in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Pharsight\Phoenix\application\Examples\Projects\WinNonlin

and at the first NCA object in the project 'NCA'.  You could also work through the examples in the user manuals and/or consider one of the training courses, either online or in person we offer, see http://www.certarauniversity.com/lms/for more details

3) For slopes if I use Best Fit to  LAMBDA Z CALCULATION when I run the NCA analysis my Final parameters pivot table appears with no values in each column.

> I would have to see an example project to better understand why this would be empty, I am guessing becuase it failed as per your question 2.

Hi Simon,

Thanks you very much for your answers, In fact, the problem is in regional settings. After correct them, NCA analysis works fine!

Best regards,

Mariana
